Abstract

We consider the braid group on three strands,B3and construct a complex valuedrepresentation of it with degree6, namely,ρ:B3→GL6(C). First, we show thatthis representation is irreducible and not equivalent to either Burau or Krammer’srepresentations. Second, we prove that the representation is unitary relative toan invertible hermitian matrix.
