Abstract

Updated checklist of 61 species in 6 tribes (Acantholipini, Anhydrophilini, Catocalini, Melipotini, Ophiusini and Toxocampini) and 30 genera of Catocalinae known to exist in Egypt are presented together with notes on their distribution, host records and taxonomical notes. Taxonomic position, synonyms and types are included and photographs for species are provided.
