Health and well-being is an important Global Goal of the United Nations and the world. The objective of this work is to outline a pathway through innovation to help contribute to the public health of nations. The initial step is to establish a metagenomic profile from metagenome analysis, of any public space via a publicly assessable object, e.g. door knob, cellphone. A big space like an airport gate requires a sensor-network instead of one suitable sensor. The ability to detect a significant difference if a diseased person was present in the recent past because s/he has left his/her imprint of disease antibodies/protein behind, has to be established. The ultimate objective is to produce a testing surface with a designed, activated test surface which will react to the disease marker of concern. This can be inserted in the cell phone or door knob.
